I have been breeding and raising fowl for over 20 plus years and have always toe marked and wing banded all my fowl. I have always used the same type bands but this last time I order wing band I bought different colors and would to hear from other breeders on ideas how you would do it, color by different breed or family. Thanks

The Jessup Murphy Line
So I just received this cock. It took me six months of talking to the breeder. Before he let me have him. It came down to a phone call last week . He said I don't want to let this stag go. I was going to breed to him next year but he is yours for this amount plus shipping. I said the money will be in the mail tomorrow. My good good friend from Tn. Said the Jessup Murphy were unbelievable back in the day. Another buddy who gave me this Breeders phone number said. They were the best fighting Murphy s he has seen . Lawgreyman will post the pictures now thanks Jay

Gaff Setting Video.
I came across this cocker tying his gaffs on. I think it is Vietnam.
It's interesting as the gaff is set contrary to a "normal" socket gaff. It seems to me that a Death Ray may be aligned at a similar angle.
What's your opinion on Set-Point-length or anything related I adjsdtments?

Showing off cords
I knew a guy that had trouble with a regular keep , so he'd heap a mound of manure/straw in the middle of the cord area and let them work it down ... he did good.
I've jerked em' off cords and emptied them out and done pretty good about every time .. I know others have too .
Has anyone ever pulled em' off cords that had good grass and their roosters not cut ? With consistency being the main goal in a keep/pointing method ... is there one out there as universally consistent at having them cutting as just pulling them off a cord on grass ?

Hello
Don't know if this is the place to put this and sorry if it's not,but just wanted to say hello to everyone since I'm new here, well I guess I've had an account for a while but forgot that I had it. I'm not a big time breeder or anything but have had and been around chickens my whole life, and look forward to being a member on here.

Coal Sack Sid Taylor history
I was trying to find the history of the Coal Sack Sid Taylor line. From what I understand these are the Spencer line? I believe that Orie Hunt may have started calling his Spencer Line Coal Sacks. But I could be wrong.Does anyone know how they came up with that name and what breeder started calling them that? I have some and really like them. I am just trying to educate myself a little on their history. I figured that I would ask here before calling Doc Herring. Thanks

Natural remedy for fowl
Everyone keeps telling me after the new law goes into play we can't buy antibiotics and other medications for your birds. I know there are alot of threads on natural wormers a man can look up on here. I was curious if anyone had any experience and good results from anything natural for coughs or rattles? Any feedback would be appreciated. Anything I can try before I use my tylan 200 would be great. Since I can't get it anymore after awhile other alternatives to make it last would be great. Antibiotics should be a last resort anyways I believe.

claret color......
OK so I've had clarets most of my chickenman life. But I've never had one of my claret hens (madigan/hhmoore) blend set as a family, come colored kinda like a redquill, WL sc just kinda redquill colored. A buddy brought me a pair of what he calls bumgardner clarets and the hen is as I discribed. The cock looks like a claret. Med stationd Wine red sc WL with blk spurs. They r marked the same. I was just wondering if anybody has seen claret hens colored like I discribed. Thanks in advance!

Rampuri Asils available
Hi,
Been messing around with Rampuri Asils. They're not part of my program, I just like having them around. They breed among themselves. If you want some for your yard, I have some.
Thanks!
