Unusual color
Is it possible to get a grey from non grey parents? I have gotten 3 black greys and 1 blue grey stags from a Buck Haws brown red cock and a very loud spangled 3/4 Asil hen. The cock is pure Haws, a black with dark red hackles and saddles. The hen is white with wheaten and black spots over body. She has 3/16 Sammy grey 1/16 Gilmore 3/4 Asil. Is it possible for the grey genes to come through from that far back. Most showed some spangling in the beginning but lost it. All pullets were brown red, 2 stags were brown red. The blue grey stag, I guess is result from breeding the black and white based spangle because neither parent has any blue breeding. He is a really dark blue with some red on wings and creamy white hackles and saddles. Any feed back would be appreciated. Ohoopee

I have some questions regarding the trio breeding . Are the birds in a trio a brother and 2 sisters? If a line started from a trio and later someone starts his own line from that line and later some one else starts his own line from a trio from that line wouldn't that create a genetic bottleneck ?

Que tal amigos , aqui reportandose con la raza despues de un rato mucho trabajo en este tiempo, , A versi alguien tiene idea o un consejo.Lo que pasa que ase como 2 meses varios de mis gallos estaban desplumados del lado de las piernas y tambien note que las plumas de una ala estaban como quebrdas y otras como ariscadas le puse una camara de video y unos de los gallos se agarraban como dando vuelta picandose las alas como locos ,, ahorita ya no me interesa porque ya estamos en la perlecha pero alguien tiene idea de que estaba pasando con ellos.?

Dripping Springs Pit, Waco Tx
I was reading a old Jay Goode article on here and he mentioned the Dripping Springs Pit in Waco. I was born in 1966 and been fooling with game chickens since about 1976. I was wondering when the Texas pits had to fold up. I have a buddy that mentioned the Waco pit. I read it was one of the biggest in Texas. It's a shame all the changes that has been made against Game Fowl and the sportsman that love them. I guess I was born a decade or 2 to late.

Anyone herd of Worked with Avalanche Hatch?
Ive got a chance to get a 2 Year old Avalanche Hatch, Blue legged Beautiful bird. But I have never worked with White birds, and I have never herd of a Avalanche Hatch. Blue legged. I've seen Green and yellow for the Pink Hatch, but not blue legs Avalanche.Help me out here.

Hey people, I got a bird from a friend that is pale in the face and is a little light..he told me that this happened to a couple other birds on his yard and he suspects its something they ate...I've had him for a couple of days and he has a pretty good appetite and doesnt act sick and my friend said he was alot thinner than now and he is starting to put on some weight but he is still so pale in the face...what could be some of the causes and treatments for this problem? thanks

after mr. bubby payton passed away who would be the person to contact? i saw a few the other day with wing band and all the fellow said they where all pure but the green legged radio, the claret and what i think was a black or a mclean did not get a chance to ask but they where very impressive more so if they where being show pure. who has his fowl right now does he still have some of the ones he hatched before he passed way? any info would be good and may he rest in piece.

Pigeons diseases.
Hi. Everyone, very hot summer in north México.
I hope you can help me with this problem.
Pigeon can tranfer diseases to growing chickens???
I hace 4 chickens flocks in differents áreas of the Farm.
But one flock is not developing as well as the others flocks.
The only defference betwen flocks is that flock of chickens live got a hold of pasture where a flocks of pigeons live.
These pigneos can be the cause of this flock of chickens is not developed like the others flocks??

Identifying bloodlines
Hello guys,
i was seeking advice from you guys, i have recently acquired a 2 year old rooster. I got him with a hen she is according to the breeder a (Gavilan Hatch) and he is according to him a (McLean Hatch) i checked him over made sure he was not hurt, the his feathers where in reasonable good condition and his eye where nice and red. His legs are yellow and he is in good physical health i asked about worming medicine and the type of feed he gave them.
Anyways i got home and started reading up on the McLean hatch and i realized my rooster doesn't look much like the ones i seen online. the one i have has more of a Gavilan Hatch look to him, he is a burgundy red color with some brown on his wings he has dark feather in the tail and is pea comb and yellow legged.
What i wanted to ask is what you guys think. what could he be?
