Time Savers

I was cleaning out water bowls this morning with this drill brush, and I was thinking of the many ideas people have came up with to save time in the chicken yard. I try to set up my farm in a way where I can properly take care of all the birds in the least amount of time. By installing as many labor-saving devices as possible it allows me to maintain a larger number of fowl than I otherwise could being a one man operation, wich in turns give me a better selection for broodstock and shows. What other labor-saving ideas do you implement or may have seen on other farms?

Anyone ever heard of a bloodline called Specks out of the Northeast area? I was told they came out of New York. Just trying to find out something about them for my nephew. They are spangled and white leg/straightcomb.

Grabe ang dami ng tao sa grand opening ng LGBA 7 - Stag Derby" series noong Biyernes, Aug. 14 sa Pasay City Cockpit sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor 3000.

Ang nakikita kong dahilan: yung mga pumunta sa Fiestag sa MOA, hayun dumiretso na sa Pasay.

Bukod sa sabik sa derbi ang mga tao kasi nga taglugon.

Anyway, 70 entries po nung Biyernes.

Ang mga umiskor ng tatlong panalo:Joel Ocsena, Jun Caparroso, Jerry Castro, Hilario Villacorte, Nestor Vendivil, Jimmy Junsay, Richardson Fabros at Arman Santos.

Soaking oats

Be careful feeding soaked oats. This is the time when Fred mills get fresh oats. The new oat will have some green oats in them and your birds will get the greens. To avoid this ad a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar to five gallon of oats. I use a product called peak in mine as well just a bit of info for the molt.

Coffee

Sitting here by myslef drinking coffee looking at my birds thinking about when I could go less than five or ten miles in any direction and sit down with a cocker friend drink coffee, dip snuff (Garrett ) and talk birds on Sunday mourning from daylight till 9 or 10 o'clock . Someone always had a good line of BS about his birds. Lol Now the only fowl talk I can find is on here , I miss the lawn chairs and coffee and BS;)

Good day mga kasabong,

may bago akong broodhen Sweater hatch grey (green legged) galing bacolod, balak ko sana ibreed sa lemon (yellow legged) ko na broodcock..
ano kaya ang kulay na lalabas sa magiging anak nila, kulay ng paa? pati fighting style san kaya makukuha? sa hatch o lemon?
ngayon lang kasi ako mag bibreed ng grey.. mostly lemon and dangrey kasi ang bloodline ng manok ko.

Hey guys,

I was just informed that someone has been selling fowl under the "Walker Gamefowl" brand.
If you did not buy the fowl from me, they probably weren't raised by me.
If you think you have bought a bird raised by me from someone else, contact me with band # and bird specifics and I'll let you know if it matches.
If it does match I'll also be able to pull the records for that bird and let you know when/what/age/etc.

There's alot of scammers out there trying to take "newbies" for all they can, please be careful when purchasing brood/show fowl.
Always purchase from a respectable breeder with references.

i have two traps set in my biddie yard they are the no dog trap caught two coons and six opossum so far i went to check them this morning and there was a opossum not in trap with no head it was cut clean off it was about three feet from it what could this be

I would like to know the correct age to dubb my stags they are 6 months old and I dont know if its to early to dubb them as Ive heard that when you dub to young they wont grow anymore, I'll appreciate your replys

This is want I do in my mixing of oats. I get a five gl bucket and I put in either red cell,bob or b12 along with acv and vit water. I let it soak for few day. Then I give to my birds sometimes by itself and some mix with seed food. I do this in the summer. I do it like twice a week skip a week .I also put Dog food in my dry food the week I skip. I think it help in the molting time and keep them a lil healther. What do y'all think more information will be grateful
