I have a really choice Sims BR brood stag with an injured crop.... He got a bad cut so i stitched it up, 3 or 4 days later 1 of the kids grossly over fed him, next morning he was crop bound & 3 of the stitches busted open. I cleaned him out & put him back on a soft diet (blueberries, bananas, cooked rice & oats, etc) for a few days, as of tonight the wound has closed back up & other than looking like hell he's doing well.... He's already getting thin in the breast & I've put a lot of time in the bird.... I have very high hopes for him, if he produces like he performed I'll have something.... What's the best way forward from here as far as his diet is concerned? A strong crop is an absolute must IMO. What's the fastest but safe way to build him & his crop back up?
EDIT... The damn thing isn't completely closed, his crop still has a 1/4in or so sized hole
