Well, I'll be dang. Went out to feed last Friday and saw a hawk fly out of the chicken yard. It had killed one and ripped the tail off two others. So...I spent two days waging war. Posted up in a blind with a shot gun..never did get close enough. Put a steel trap next to the dead rooster and covered that in feathers...caught him!! All was well again. I thought. My wife called me today and said dead rooster. Not 100% sure, but looks like another hawk. So got traps set...but I'm working all week and can't defend the yard with the shot gun. So, my question is, does anybody know of a way to keep hawks away?
