Runt stags

Do you guys cull runts immediately or let it play out sometimes?

I have a runt stag now I been on the fence of culling,I let him be this long cause he matured early and I liked the way he acted, I have had runts go either way , flat out trash or barn burners, today was the day and I'm pretty happy with my choice of letting him be. He won't be In the brood pen or anything but I will for sure let him grow on out and give him his day.
