I pretty well understand how the color is passed when breeding red to grey or grey to red. My question is about grey to black or red to black, will the pullets show black blood from a black hen? Ive always bred black over my red hens, never tried it the other way. Not that it matters what color I get, I have a few large pens that I could put a black hen and a red or grey hen together in to save space and still single mate if the black color passes to pullets. If not I'll use 2 pens. I'm wondering because when I've bred black over red, the pullets showed black but not like my "pure" black would have came. Thanks
