Hello everyone. Well it was a ruff breeding season for me. not many chicks hatched this go round. My sweater grey cock became sterile, took me three setting to believe it, 34 stags off him last season, but he is 12 or13 years old. So I used my Gilmore hatch cock over the duke hulsey claret hens, 11 hatch off one hen and 4 off the other, only two stags off these hens, SO have any of you guys ever had hens under cocks that throwed mostly pullets. is this common in some breeds or is it just bad luck. breed Gilmore cock over penny hatch hen got 5 stags and 5 pullets. thanks for any input on this.
