This yr. a friend bought some eggs at a chicken sale and hatched them. He said they called them filer or maybe fowler. He said he called a friend he used to show with when legal and asked him about them. He was told that it was a relatively new strain that was a combination of 4 or 5 strains, kinda like the Slop Jar Hatches were bred. Colors of the larger than quail size chicks were black, wheaten and grey. Just curious as to what they are and who created them. May not be the correct name, maybe something similar. They look like the have a lot of Asil influence. Has anyone ever heard of them? Any info. would be appreciated, thanks. OHOOPEE.
