There's some new Sabong paraphernalia nowadays and I'm wondering who invented them. One that comes to mind are the "Condom" (a sheath placed on the tari so the gaffer won't get cut tying the knife) and the replacement for leather boot that is no longer leather which hold the paunan of the right side of the fork knife. It comes sticky and non-sticky and normally cost 40 pesos non sticky and 50 pesos sticky. It also comes in a variety of colors including camouflage and in different style. Sabong really is modernizing in terms of updating paraphernalia.. Would also want to see the different kinds of takira. The new plastic takira is only 100 pesos and holds a dozen knives. I have some very unique takira made of Aluminum, Plastic, Leather holster, Leather, etc. The old takira using Carabao horn is now very rare. And as far as knife boxes everything too had change. Seen a big case that holds over 100 knives. Some have them in brief cases. I probably would see some goldplated cases to attract attention. The knife itself have come a long way in improvement. We will just continue to improve our paraphernalia as it's our passion. We all strive for the betterment of our sport.
